Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 August 2026

This Policy explains how EMISSIO TRADE D.O.O. collects, uses, retains and protects personal data relating to website visitors and people who send us business enquiries.

1. Controller and scope

The controller is EMISSIO TRADE d.o.o. za trgovinu i usluge, Ulica Roberta Frangeša – Mihanovića 9, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia, company ID (OIB): 97048607415, registration number (MBS): 081398598 (“EMISSIO TRADE”, the “Company”, “we” or “us”). This Policy applies to www.emissiotrade.com, related pages referring to it and business communications arising from website enquiries.

Questions and data protection requests may be sent to info@emissiotrade.com.

2. Data we process and whether it is required

When you contact us, we may process your name, company or organisation, email address, telephone number, selected project category, project or enquiry description and subsequent business correspondence.

Your name, company or organisation, email address, project-type selection and a brief project or enquiry description are required so that we can receive, identify and meaningfully handle a business enquiry. Providing them is not a statutory requirement; however, without those details and acknowledgement of this Policy, the form cannot be submitted and we cannot respond through it. The telephone number is optional.

For website security, availability and abuse prevention, technical data such as IP address, request time, browser and device information and security logs may also be processed. Please do not submit special-category personal data or confidential technical information that is not necessary for an initial discussion.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Responding to enquiries and preparing possible cooperation: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Business communications: our legitimate interest in operating our business and responding to relevant B2B enquiries.
  • Security and abuse prevention: our legitimate interest in protecting systems, data and communications.
  • Legal obligations and claims: compliance with applicable law and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
  • Consent: only where expressly requested for a separate, freely given purpose. It may be withdrawn at any time.

The required acknowledgement beside the contact form confirms that you have been informed about this Policy; it is not the legal basis for processing your business enquiry.

4. Recipients and service providers

Access is limited to people who require the data to handle an enquiry or business relationship. Where necessary, data may be processed by providers of website hosting, security and maintenance, email delivery, business communications and IT support, as well as professional advisers. The contact form forwards the enquiry to our official email address and does not store it in a separate database operated by this Website. We require processors to maintain appropriate confidentiality and security and to act on our instructions.

Data may also be disclosed to competent authorities where required by law or in connection with a reorganisation, financing or transfer of business, subject to appropriate safeguards. You may request information about the specific recipients that processed your data by contacting us.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or another lawful mechanism, with supplementary safeguards where required. Information about the applicable mechanism may be requested using our contact details.

6. Retention

We retain enquiries and related communications for as long as necessary to respond, assess a project and consider possible cooperation. Where no relationship is established, data are erased or anonymised when no longer needed, normally no later than 24 months after the last relevant communication unless a documented and justified reason requires longer retention.

Where a business relationship is established, data are retained throughout that relationship and afterwards for periods required by accounting, tax and other laws or while needed for legal claims. Technical and security logs are retained only for as long as necessary to protect the Website and investigate misuse. We periodically review whether business-enquiry data still need to be retained.

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including access restrictions, protected transmission, data validation and measures against automated misuse. No electronic system is entirely risk-free, but safeguards are adjusted to the nature of the data and relevant risks.

8. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing.

Send requests to info@emissiotrade.com. We may request reasonable proof of identity. You may also complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency or another competent supervisory authority.

9. Automated decisions, cookies and external links

We do not use contact-form data for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Further information is available in our Cookie Policy.

The Website may link to external services such as LinkedIn. Once an external link is opened, processing is governed by that provider’s policies.

10. Updates and contact

We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. The date above identifies the current version.
